Joie de Deux (the "Joy of Two" in French) is a husband and wife violin and cello duo that performs for weddings (and proposals!), private parties, corporate functions and special events of all kinds.

Having performed as both orchestral musicians and as solo artists, they have performed primarily as a duo since 1999. The duo performs a wide variety of music from classical to popular and is sure to suit your need for string music. Joie de Deux has played for hundreds of private functions and was the house duo of NorthPark Center in Dallas, Texas for three years.

Individually, they have performed with such notable artists as Billy Joel, Sir Elton John, James Taylor, Sarah McLachlan, Cheryl Crow, Moody Blues, Bread, Unleaded, Tears for Fears, Henri Mancini, Johnny Mathis, The Platters, The Ink Spots, Ray Price, Floyd Kramer, Reba McEntire, Andrea Bocelli, and Luciano Pavarotti. Upon personal request from Annie Proulx, author of "The Shipping News" and "Brokeback Mountain", the duo performed for her in her Wyoming home.

Together, Wynne and Pearce have over sixty years of professional experience... and they still love what they do!

If the duo is more than you need, both Wynne and Pearce are available as solo instrumentalists. A strolling violinist or a solo cellist could add just the right touch to your event.

If you prefer a larger ensemble or a different instrumentation, Wynne and Pearce can provide string quartets, string trios, harpists, pianists, flutists, guitarists, vocalists, trumpeters, jazz bands and other musical ensembles.
